the Thilgean Calendar improves upon two problems with the Gregorian calendar:

1. The lack of synchronization between the weekday numbers and weekday names.
2. The uneven number of days for each month.

Solution; Part 1:
To synchronize the weekday numbers with the weekday names, start every new year on a Sunday.

Solution; Part 2:
To make each month have the same number of days; first change the number of weekdays from 7 to 6.
I suggest we layoff Wednesday because it is hard to spell.

Solution; Part 3:
Because of the shortened week, the work week will also need to be changed from 5 workdays and 2 weekend days to
4 workdays and 2 weekend days. This will also provide for 17 more vacation days a year. [(5/7)*365]-[(4/6)*365]

Solution; Part 4:
Each month will have 5 weeks of 6 days each week totallying thirty days, with an extra 5 day week spill-over saved
for December for the extension of Christmas break!

Conclusion:
These combined updates to the Gregorian calendar to create the Thilgean calendar provide several key benefits
which include:

Simplifying scheduling for annual events which will now occur on the same weekday every year. Events such as Mother's day, which is the first Sunday of May, will always be on the same weekday number.
Another example is the start of the school year which will also be simplified. The current difficulty is that the school year starts the second or third week of August, depending on the alignment of breaks during the coming year. All of these breaks will now be standarized so that we will not need schedule realignments every year to find the starting date of classes.
